Patient Story Consent

At Central Vet Midwater, we love celebrating the pets and families we care for. From time to time, we may wish to share a patient story, photo, name, recovery update, treatment journey or procedure outcome on our website, social media pages, printed material or other marketing content.
We will only do this with the pet owner’s written consent. Consent should be clear, voluntary and specific, especially where images, names or personal details may identify the owner or their pet. This also supports good privacy practice under POPIA, where consent should be voluntary, specific and informed.
Patient stories will always be handled with care and respect. We will avoid sharing private or sensitive medical details unless the owner has clearly agreed to that information being used. Where possible, stories will focus on education, gratitude, recovery, responsible pet care and the special bond between pets, their owners and the veterinary team.
Owners may ask Central Vet Midwater to remove a story, photo or identifying detail from future marketing use where reasonably practical. Please note that printed materials or content already shared by third parties may not always be possible to fully remove, but we will do our best to respect the owner’s request.
